This university assignment has the topic of creating the Exquisite Corpse video (starting and ending with the circle) to illustrate your point of view about the Flux | Swinburne GradX 2023. To understand more about the concept of Exquisite Corpse, I researched more about their original term and found many wonderful inspirations. After merging it with the assignment’s rule, I think it would be great to demonstrate the circle with negative space rather than just an obvious circle. It sounds like the Yin Yang rules from China, and it gave me many interesting perspectives when I intergrated this idea with Flux's theme.

Storyline
Those great materials inspired me a lot to develop a story for my exquisite corpse assignment after some study and references. Everything in my concept begins with a bubble sphere, which represents a fresh student who has no prior knowledge of the university. They develop a fascination with a solitary bubble that perpetually floats on the ocean’s surface. Eventually, they embark on an oceanic journey themselves by enrolling in college. They are lost in the ocean because, as “bubbles,” they are dissolved into it; they are unable to locate themselves and have no idea how to escape. They must acquire the ability to return to the surface of the water in order to be “safe.” This scene is inspired by my own story, when I was at the very beginning stage of my university studies. As an international student, my initial experience in a foreign country left me feeling alienated, disoriented, and lonely due to my inability to comprehend the local culture. However, the bubbles discover that the ocean is replete with fascinating new information that they were previously unaware of, such as that there is grass in the ocean, which the bubbles were unaware of when floating on the surface. However, all of a sudden, they are captured by a multitude of wooden planes, which were constructed to symbolise the introduction of new information and academic demands at the university level. The bubbles desire to ascend to the ocean’s surface by escaping the wooden planes; however, each wooden spot is deformed to permit the bubble to traverse multiple dimensions. The purpose of this scene is to illustrate the concept of a student who enrols at a university but lacks comprehension of its operations. The fact that new students must independently organise every aspect is not explained to them. In the beginning stages of my education, I felt entangled and dragged from one piece of new information to the next. While some positive experiences may arise, freshmen occasionally encounter difficulties due to a variety of factors. However, despite all the changes, the bubble has evolved over the course of the entire journey. Upon the conclusion of the voyage, all the wooden aircraft return to their initial state, allowing the bubbles to return to the surface of the ocean. While the bubbles return to the surface, they have undergone a transformation that has endowed them with an enhanced aura. Its aura affects the entire surface of the ocean.
